Indigenous Girls Golf Initiative
The Indigenous Girls Golf is dedicated to empowering young Indigenous girls who are ready to step onto the green and discover the many benefits that golf has to offer. This event highlights the physical, mental, and social advantages of the sport, while fostering a supportive environment for growth.
Our mission is to build confidence, self-esteem, and leadership skills among Indigenous girls across the province. Through mentorship and inspiration from accomplished Indigenous golf instructors, we aim to empower the next generation with skills that extend beyond the game.
Since the Indigenous Girls Golf launch close to 80 girls participated. There have been 5 events divot and conquered on greens all over Alberta, such as in St. Paul, Lac La Biche, Edmonton, Calgary, and at the Redwood Meadows Golf Club on Tsuut’ina Nation.
