Rocks & Rings is a program developed by Curling Canada in partnership with Egg Farmers across Canada and other partners with the goal of inspiring youth to get active through curling. Rock Solid Productions Inc. is owned by Chad McMullan who has been involved in curling since an early age. Rock Solid Productions is the Official Development Partner of the World Curling Federation. The goal of the organization is to create meaningful partnerships with companies, utilizing the Olympic sport of curling and strong marketing concepts to develop exciting and creative experiences that engage the client’s target audience.
This amazing program can be adapted to fit the needs of the community/school or organization that signs up:
❖ Curriculum supported physical education activities
❖ Family/elder curling days and leagues
❖ After school programs
❖ Community leagues/tournament and more!
Age Criteria: Fun for all ages, specific resources for school/youth
Curling Program Package:
- 4x FloorCurl Starter Kits
- 4x Pairs of Pusher Sticks
- Resource package (including program cards and a FloorCurl manual)
- Access to the Online Education Portal
- Ongoing support from FNHC Coordinator and Egg Farmers Rocks & Rings representative
Curriculum Based Training:
- In the classroom, Rocks & Rings online education portal delivers curriculum-based lessons in math, science, social studies, and language based on the sport of curling. Their free lesson library is full of ideas you can download and use for your program.
- Rocks & Rings education portal has over 100 different lesson plans and activities.
- Provide target game lessons.
- Teaches teamwork and communication and more!
