What is PDD?
The Government of Alberta’s Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) program helps eligible adults plan, coordinate and access services to live as independently as they can. To be eligible for PDD you must have a diagnosed developmental disability before the age of 18.
What is AISH?
The Government of Alberta’s Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH) program is intended to help eligible individuals with a permanent medical condition that impairs their ability to work, by providing both financial and health benefits. AISH recipients are still able and encouraged to be employed.
