ISC renew Jordan’s Principle until March 2027

We acknowledge yesterday’s (Feb 25, 2026) announcement from Indigenous Services Canada regarding updates to Jordan’s Principle. We remain committed to working alongside First Nations families and partners to ensure children receive the services and supports they need, when they need them. Our priority continues to be equitable, timely access to care that honours the spirit and intent of Jordan’s Principle for all First Nations children and communities.

Indigenous Services Canada Announcement, February 25, 2026:

“First Nations children and families will have greater stability, and communities will have more certainty to deliver services, with the $1.55 billion investment to renew Jordan’s Principle until March 31, 2027. Children will continue to be able to access the essential supports they need to grow and thrive.”
