Coal Creek Fundraising Golf Tournament

On Par for a Cause! We’re excited to share highlights of the Coal Creek Golf Fundraising Tournament that was held on Friday, August 22, 2025.

All proceeds from our fundraising Golf Tournament will go towards supporting our Indigenous Girls Golf

In 2024, our Indigenous Girls Golf launched for the first time on the green in St. Paul, AB. The vision is aimed at encouraging young Indigenous girls ages 7 – 18 years old learn about the physical, psychological, and social benefits golf can offer.

Since the Indigenous Girls Golf launch about 130 girls participated. There have been 5 events divot and conquered on greens all over Alberta, such as in St. Paul, Lac La Biche, Edmonton, and Calgary.

Meet the Golf Winners!

The 1st place winner of our tournament was team “Seven Lakes Oilfield Services”; and a tiebreaking moment for two teams for 2nd and 3rd place went to team “Bantu Khaya Group” and team “Jordan Tootoosis”.

The women’s longest drive and closest to the pin was won by Maggie Buffalo; and Taiven Makokis won men’s longest drive.

Our silent auction brought in about $1,200 green ones! For the silent auction, Don Burnstick donated his Edmonton Oilers season seat holder seats for November 1st hometown game between Edmonton Oilers vs Chicago Blackhawks. We also had Wingman speakers, golf bags, and more!

Thank you to all who participated and sponsored our first fundraising golf tournament.
